Rebuilding your life after prison is one of the toughest challenges a person can face. But with the right support, it’s possible. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a Through the Gate Coordinator — someone with a rare mix of compassion, resilience, organisation and flexibility. This is for the person who understands that rehabilitation isn’t just about offering advice; it’s about rolling up your sleeves and pro-actively supporting someone on their journey.
About the Role:
As part of this role, you will support a caseload of service users transitioning from custody to the community. You’ll meet individuals in prison to begin planning their support in collaboration with their Support Worker, tailoring action plans to their specific needs. Post-release, you’ll continue to guide them, connecting them with the full range of available services and support.
Your work will take you across various settings—including prisons, community hubs, and probation offices—so flexibility and adaptability are essential. You’ll collaborate closely with pre-release teams, probation services, and internal departments to provide holistic, person-centred support throughout their journey.
The role requires excellent multitasking skills, as you’ll manage several service users at once, ensuring each receives the attention and guidance they need. Detailed and accurate record-keeping is critical, as measurable progress is central to our work.
